I Am The Resurrection And The Life
Note the strong emphasis in His word here – I am the Resurrection and the Life. This is not just that I resurrected and live, I am Myself the embodiment of Resurrection. I am the upsurge that conquers death and all its agents. I am Myself the life. Every life draws from Me, the Life. It is My life that bears the living on; I am the source of life. No death can hold me down or whosoever I touch or pour into.
Now, consider this – “he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
Are you dead? Are you dying? Have you even been put away to the tomb of forgetfulness, sealed off with a very big stone? Is there an agent of death eating you rapidly? Are you having a “consumption” under your skin? Have you been written off by medical personnel? Are your bones decaying? Do you have cancer of any sort? “Though he were dead, yet shall he live!
Believest Thou This?
Believeth thou this?” Though a big, bogus, fearful diagnosis, hopeless, and helpless; though he were dead (the climax and the end and terminus of every mortal man), he shall live! Not that he may probably live… No! He shall surely, assuredly, definitely live!
Do you believe this? I know you may believe many other things and may want to spiritualize this away, you wish to push it to the last day as Martha did, but the Master is still standing like He stood then; it is not a different man. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Do you believe this?
This is not about believing many things – all Bible doctrines; all eschatology. It is about this one thing! Do you believe this? Do you believe that “I Am the Resurrection and the Life! And that he who believes in Me though he was dead, yet shall he live.” Do you believe this?
Where Is Your Dead?
If you do, show Him where your dead is laid today and right away. Show Him the spot on your body, in your soul and in your spirit, where the agents of death and decay are already at work! Is it in your bones or the marrow? Are your bones collapsing? Is your spirit experiencing death? Do you have a dry, dying, freezing or shrinking spiritual life? He is here, right here and now!
Touch Him as you pray and you will see life surge through your spirit and your vein! Are you lying on the bed over there? Rise up. “I am the Resurrection and the Life” is here. Revival is here for your spirit and your soul.
